Gentle reflexology treatments designed to reduce stress, improve circulation, and support your body’s natural healing. While reflexology focuses on the feet, its effects are felt throughout the body. By stimulating key reflex points, this therapy can help relieve tension, improve circulation, and support your overall health and wellbeing.

Reflexology is a non-invasive complementary health therapy that involves a pressure technique using thumbs and fingers on the reflex areas found in the feet or the hands.Reflexology is based on the theory that these points correspond to different areas in the body. The areas shown on the foot map below are known as the ‘reflex’ areas.A reflex area is the relationship between a point on the foot and another area of the body, when a reflex is stimulated through massage or manipulation, and the corresponding part of the body is affected. Reflexology is a wonderful way to relax and ease tension, encouraging the natural ability of the body to heal itself.Reflexologists work holistically with their clients and provide a period of time (usually an hour) where the client has one to one attention and relaxation. Good reflexologists are also empathic and provide non-judgmental listening.Clinical reflexology works alongside conventional medical care to assist the body’s own healing process - reducing stress, easing tension and improving circulation.Reflexology can also bring relief to acute and chronic conditions although as a reflexologist, I do not claim to diagnose, cure or prescribe. Areas where reflexology has been shown to be effective include the following:Muscular/ skeletal problems, e.g. back, neck and shoulder painInflammationArthritisStress and anxietyInsomnia and sleep disordersCirculatory issues, e.g. high blood pressureHormonal imbalance, e.g. menopausal symptomsHeadachesEasing the side effects of chemotherapyLymphoedemaDigestive issues including constipationImproving mood and a sense of well beingSupporting people living with Long COVIDAs the treatment looks at the whole person, reflexologists also assist with diet and lifestyle guidance.
